Information Collected and Received
Through the use of this Site or Service, PostUp may collect or maintain the following PII about individuals from clients or prospective clients, which is typically business contact information:
- First and Last Name
- Street and/or mailing address, city, state and zip code
- Email Address
- Phone number
- Company URL
- Business Type
- Information volunteered by users, such as survey information
- Any other PII the user submits during the course of normal correspondence with UnsubCentral or its third-party partners
Non-PII (information that that does not reveal the specific identity of the customer) is collected by PostUp in the normal course of operating its business. We collect certain aggregate and non-personal information when you visit the Site and through your use of the Service. When you visit the Website to browse, read or download information, we automatically collect standard computer information that your browser sends to every website you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and language, cookie information, access times, referring website addresses and the page you request. This information does not relate to a single identifiable visitor. It tells us such things as how many users visited the website and the pages accessed. Collecting this information helps us tailor our Website to our visitors. We generally do not link standard computer information to anything that will allow us to identify users unless to prevent fraud and to protect our Service, Website, users, customers or others. You may choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features offered with the Service.
PostUp may keep a cached copy of the content you provide or disclose to us as a part of your use of the Site or Service, including media files, for an indeterminate or indefinite period of time. To assist in development, we may keep copies of HTTP requests and responses in your notification log. If your web server does not specify that we may cache your content, we will not keep a cached copy of any text or audio data transmitted through the Service during calls, but we may still maintain copies in your notification log. We may also keep call log, notification log, billing/payment, and other log data as we determine is appropriate.
Uses of Information
PostUp will provide customers with the ability to opt-out prior to disclosing any customer information to a third party or using customer information for a purpose that is inconsistent with the purpose for which it was originally collected.
The Information Shared or Disclosed with Third Parties
PostUp is not in the business of selling your information. We consider this information to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your PII with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:
- Agents, Consultants and Related Third Parties: PostUp, like many businesses, sometimes uses other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include mailing information, maintaining databases, developing new services, enhancing the Service, and processing payments. When we employ another company or individual to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.
- Legal Requirements and Other Circumstances: PostUp may also share PII in the following limited circumstances: (1) upon receipt of a properly authorized and authenticated governmental request for information; (2) in response to a subpoena or a court order; (3) to comply with relevant laws; (4) in response to an investigation of fraud regarding a specific individual; (5) in an effort to safeguard the person or property of PostUp, an PostUp employee or a third party; (6) when PostUp believes it is necessary to protect our interests or we believe in good faith that the law requires the sharing of your PII; (7) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Website or Service or the public; and (8) protect against legal liability.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Most web browsers are set up to accept cookies. You can, however, reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. If you choose to decline cookies, some of the functionality of the Website may be impaired.
We use a variety of technologies on the Site. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying the settings in your browser. If you choose to disable cookies, you may still use our Site; however, you may have limited access to some areas within our Site or a different experience.
Some of our web pages, e-mails, and other online content may contain electronic images provided by us or authorized third parties known as web beacons, also known as single-pixel GIFs, which are invisible graphical images. These web beacons allow us to count users who have visited our Site, seen our ads, or opened our e-mail, and to track whether messages are shared using our social share features and, once shared, whether these messages are opened by the recipient. PostUp uses industry-standard technologies when transferring and receiving consumer information exchanged between us and other companies to help ensure its security. This Website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our servers are backed up regularly and protected by security systems. Please be advised that, although we take reasonable technological precautions to protect your information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, PostUp cannot warrant that your information will be absolutely secure. Any transmission of data at or through our Website is at your own risk.
PostUp utilizes the third-party cloud services of various companies to store, use and transmit your PII and other information. These third-party cloud service providers are reputable companies, well known in our industry and they utilize current industry standard data encryption technologies and firewalls.
PostUp places the highest value on the privacy of children. PostUp does not knowingly collect PII from minors under the age of 13. Any person who provides their information to PostUp represents to us that they are 13 years of age or older. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor under the age of 13 who has provided PII to PostUp, please contact us so we can delete it.
Choices and Means to Access and Limit Use and Disclosure of PII
PostUp has reasonable measures in place to provide individuals with the right to access their PII stored by PostUp. In addition, PostUp will take reasonable steps to permit individuals to correct, amend, or delete information that such individuals deem inaccurate or incomplete. Subscribers can request to access their PII or to correct, amend, or delete their PII by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the applicable request (i.e., to view, alter, update, or remove their PII) and the information necessary to enable PostUp to complete such action. PostUp may have limited access to certain PII we process on behalf of our customers in connection with the Service. Therefore, if applicable, any requests to access, correct, amend, remove or limit the use and disclosure of PII that PostUp processes on behalf of its customers should include the name of the PostUp customer that submitted your PII to PostUp. We will forward such requests to the identified customer to respond directly to you and we will provide any necessary assistance in that customer’s response to your request.
Right to Contact via Telephone
By registering on the Site, you agree that such act constitutes an inquiry and/or application for purposes of the Amended Telemarketing Sales Rule (16 CFR § 310 et seq.), as amended from time to time (the “Rule”) and other telemarketing laws such as FCC rules. Notwithstanding that your telephone number may be listed on the Federal Trade Commission’s Do-Not-Call List, we reserve the right to contact you via telemarketing in accordance with the Rule.
The Site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us (PostUp directly, NOT FROM OUR CLIENTS). Users may remove their information from our database in order to prevent future communications, or to no longer receive our service by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
