How to connect your Marketo and UnsubCentral accounts?
Setting up an integration between Marketo and UnsubCentral involves several detailed steps but they are straightforward and easy to complete. First you need to provision an API Access Only user within Marketo, to do so, you must go to the Admin option on the Marketo website then navigate to Users & Roles on the Security options. Here you will click onto the Roles tab to create a New Role. Afterwards, Select Access API > Read-Write Person as the minimum required.Then, click on Invite New User and complete the form. We recommend using UnsubCentral in the email field domain portion as this doesn’t have to be a real email address, then you click next to move onto Step 2: Permissions and select the newly created Role.
Now you can move on to setting up the LaunchPoint integration within Marketo. First go back to the main page of the Marketo user interface, then click the Admin option on the right hand navigation on the top of the page. Next, click the Integration section within the left navigation options and then click on LaunchPoint. Then, within the Installed Services section of the LaunchPoint page, click on the first option New, then New Service. Here you can set a Display Name, Description, the API Only User, and also set the Service section to Custom. This will make the newly created service appear. Click the View Details option to obtain the required parameters (ClientID and Client Secret) for your List Sync configuration within UnsubCentral. After this you will need to obtain your Marketo Munchkin ID within Marketo which you will find by once again navigating from Admin to the Integration section.
The remaining steps are to now move on over to UnsubCentral and set up a Data Fetch Transfer task there and to additionally set up a Data Push Transfer task within UnsubCentral.
